Telescopes and Ice Cream

Matt and I have joined forces again for 2024!

It was a fun night at Wellfleet Pier. Matt’s giant, 15” Newtonian reflector attracted a lot of attention; he was busy managing the flow of people eager to view and explaining how it works to the curious.

I had my telescope aimed at the young crescent moon for the first part of the night. As it grew darker, I moved to Saturn, always a delight for first-time observers.

And, with Mac’s on the Pier just steps away, please no ice cream at the eyepiece! was the theme of the night.
